If you are clueless on how to apply a passport application in http://www.passportindia.gov.in the first thing that you should do is to become an online registered user on the website of Passport Seva and in order to create a user account for the online form submission you can visit http://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/user/RegistrationBaseAction, after that you will be asked to enter the passport office under the jurisdiction of where you are currently residing. Once that is done, you will be asked to input your given name, surname, date of birth, your preferred login identification and the password that goes with it.

How to Apply Online

You need to download the form through the left navigation menu. Once you have been able to register online in http://www.passportindia.gov.in/, the first step that you should do is to log into your Passport Seva user account, then click the “Apply Passport Online” option located within the left navigational menu. After that, you will be asked to  upload the needed files through the “Upload Document” link located on the applicant home page. Please take note that the documents that will be uploaded are in .pdf format and must be self-attested which means there should be a signature from the applicant. The last step will require you to be personally present at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or the Mini Passport Seva Kendra (Mini PSK). Also, you must schedule an appointment with the PSK or the Mini PSK that is associated with the jurisdiction of the applicant’s current and valid address.
When you chose to decide to have an Online Appointment, it is mandatory to go to PSK to commence further passport processing. Only people who have medical or emergency cases are able to go to PSK without any appointment. Please be reminded that with these cases, such service will be provided with discretion from the PSK in charge. In the event that the form submission process in PSK isn’t completed within the duration of 3 months of submitting application online, you will be required to restart the submission of all the needed applications.
