- Degree or equivalent in: Civil Engg./Agricultural Engg./
Computer Engg./ Biotechnology OR Ph.D. in any one of the following
specializations: Water Resources/ Hydrology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Earth
Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/Biosciences/
Biotechnology/Nanotechnology/
Geohydrology/ Hydrogeology/Water Quality/ Meteorology/ Remote Sensing &GIS. - Discipline in which the candidate should have Post Graduate degree: Water Resources/Hydrology/Physics/
Chemistry/Earth Science/ Meteorology/ Biosciences/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology, or a related subject.

Educational /Academic Qualifications (for both Scientist C and Scientist B):
- B.E./B.Tech. degree or equivalent in any one of the following:
Civil Engg./Agricultural Engg. /Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Computer
Engg./ Biotechnology OR Post-graduate degree in any one of the
following: Water Resources/Physics/Chemistry/
Hydrology/Earth Sciences/Biosciences/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology/Meteorology/ Instrumentation/ Remote Sensing & GIS (with UG degree in Engg./Science).
Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay a
fee of Rs.100/-(Rs. One Hundred only) for the above posts in the shape
of Bank Draft drawn in favor of “National Institute of Hydrology,
Roorkee” payable at SBI Branch of IIT, Roorkee with the name of the
Candidate, post name written on its backside. However, candidates
belonging to SC/ST/PH are not required to pay any fee. No fee exemption
is available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the full
prescribed fee of Rs.100/-.
