Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) offering PhD studentship for JRFs 2012
Eligibility: Candidate must hold an MBBS, or Master’s degree in life sciences, agriculture, veterinary science, Egineering, or pharmacy. Only candidates holding a Junior Research fellowship (JRF) from CSIR-UGC, DBT or ICMR are eligible to apply. Candidates must have first division/class with at least 60% aggregate scores in all examinations from class 10 onwards. All educational and technical qualifications should be from a recognized university/board.
How to apply: Candidates fulfilling the above requirements may apply in the prescribed format to the Administrative Officer (P&A) of the institute at the above address. The application form can be downloaded from http://www.thsti.res.in. Last date for receipt of applications is 31st May, 2012. Applications received after the closing date will not be entertained on any ground including postal delay. Incomplete applications in any respect will be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
Selection procedure: Candidates will be competitively short-listed based on the excellence of their academic records and the list of short-listed candidates will be published on THSTI website by 4th June 2012. Short-listed candidates will be called for an interview on 25th June, 2012. List of selected candidates for the PhD studentship will be published on THSTI website by 28th June, 2012. Selected candidates will be required to join the Ph.D. program of the institute on 10th July, 2012. Hostel facility is available for the institute. The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) was set up through an Act by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and received the assent of the Governor on the 15th of November 1973. The NBSE conducted the HSLC Examination 1988 on the new syllabus based on the national core curriculum. The first Class-9 (Promotion) examination was held in 1988 at all the recognised schools. Classes-8 and 9 examinations were decentralised where the Board sets and supplies the question papers and the schools evaluate and declare the results as per the criteria laid down. The 1994 batch of students of Class 8 and 9 were allotted registration numbers consequent upon their success at these examinations.
