TET 2012 Scheme Of Written Examination

1. Question Papers will have 150 Multiple Choice Questions in the subjects under the relevant papers as mentioned above. Candidates have to mark the right choice of answers among the four options. Each right answer will be awarded one mark. There will not be any negative marking.
2. The questions for all the subjects (except languages) will be both in Tamil and English.
3. The syllabi for the subjects covered are already published in the Government Gazettes. However they will be issued along with the Application Form and Prospectus.

TET Exam Centre For Examination 2012
Examination will be held in all the 66 Educational District Headquarters. The Candidates may refer to the Prospectus published in the Teachers Recruitment Board Website or Teachers Recruitment Board’s Notice Board at  DPI Compound Chennai–6 for  further details.  Candidates should appear for the  examnation at their own expenses. The board reserves the right to increase the number of examination centres and to re-allot the candidates.

Paper I
Paper‐1 had 60 questions in total ‐ in the order of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Each subject had 20 questions and the pattern was exactly the same for all the subjects.
• The maximum marks for the paper were 210 i.e. 70 for each subject.
• Equal weightage was given to each subject.
• Paper was having questions of only three types.
o Multiple Choice Questions with Single Correct Option,
o Multiple Choice Questions with Multiple Correct Option,
o Numeric Response Type of Questions
Paper II
• Paper‐2 also had 60 questions in total ‐ in the order of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• This paper had questions based on comprehensions also.
• The maximum marks for the paper were 198 i.e. 66 for each subject.
• Equal weightage was given to each subject.
• Paper was having questions of only three types.
